Gateway to Australia Trade Summit

Following the success in 2004 of the Gateway to China Trade Summit, the Auckland Chamber of Commerce in association with the New Zealand Herald hosted the Gateway to Australia Trade Summit in 2005.

The summit took place in Auckland on 3 March 2005 and was aimed at exporters, importers and investors, large and small and provided everything you ever wanted to know about growing your business with Australia.

The summit boasted 33 speakers from both Australia and New Zealand including:

  • Rt Hon Bob Hawke AC, Former Prime Minister of Australia;
  • David Kirk MBE, Managing Director, PMP Limited, Australia and New Zealand;
  • Michael Hill, Founder, Michael Hill Jeweller;
  • Kerry McDonald, Chairman, Australia New Zealand Leadership Forum; and
  • Geoff Dangerfield, CEO, Ministry of Economic Development.
