The New Zealand Companies Register is an electronic register where company information and documents can be viewed online.  There are four options available to you for conducting a register search.  Searching is easy and most information is FREE.

Quick search

Enter the first three (or more) characters of a company name in the Quick Search box to produce a summarised list of search results.  Double-click on a company name in the list to see more information about that company.

Number search

Every entity registered with the Companies Office has a unique reference number.  If you know this number, type it in the Standard Search field and select Submit Search.

Standard name search

Enter the first few characters of an organisation name in the Standard Search box and select Submit Search.

Keyword search

Keywords can appear anywhere within an entity name.  Common words like ‘Investments’, ‘Holdings’, ‘Limited’ and ‘Company’ cannot be searched as they are not unique keywords.
