Introducing Financial Service Providers
The Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act 2008 was passed into law on 29 September 2008.
Everyone who provides, or offers to provide, a financial service will shortly be required to register as a Financial Service Provider. It is envisaged all financial service providers will be required to register by the end of 2010. The start date for the new registration regime will be announced in due course.
The Registrar of Companies is also the Registrar of Financial Service Providers and will be providing further information about the registration process over the coming months.
